Over the last few weeks we have had a huge amount of work done by the local Power Company that are upgrading all the power lines and poles in our area and this week all action has been on our stretch of the road .. This is looking from our house down our driveway.. We have had several day's when the power has been turned off from 9am to 4pm which can be a little inconveniant but hopefully it would be all very worth while and not have so many Power cuts in bad weather .. The Power guys do a pretty good job with having to come out in all weathers to get us up and running again, as on a farm it is just not a matter of not being able to boil the jug for a cuppa or do the ironing .. but there is not water getting to the cows.. cows can not be milked.. the milk in the vat can not be kept chilled .. So big 'Up's' to the Power Boys..
Interesting Julz....it looks a very impressive outfit! Hope you milking engines keep going, we know the hassle of not being able to keep to the correct milking times.....it upsets everyone! Is that your house....perhaps your neighbour as you said looking from your house!
No that is the neighbours across the road .. our drive is about 400 mtrs long .. After all the work was finnished on Thursday and all the power trucks had gone I could still hear alot of talking and laughing .. and the two 'traffic control' trucks were still there .. had umbrella's and chairs set up and were having a right old time .. after about 1 1/2 hours they went turned out they had a flat tyre in one of the truck and the other truck just stayed there for the 'party' .. It sounded like fun .. tempeted to join them .. @happypat
