We were in the small village of Puhoi this afternoon, and I noticed that the atumn colour was starting to show. We don't usually get very good colour in the top part of the North Island, so we tend to get a little excited at the first signs. This river severely flooded last year during the cyclones and that little building with the red roof was badly damaged, it houses the library which still has not reopened..
