Sigh. I'm so far behind posting my photos! But I've been diligent about taking them.
This is Westhafen, an industrial area, and the building to the left is the temporary location for the Staatsbibliothek, or "StaBi" as the locals fondly call it. I'm spending nearly four months doing research there. The regular home on Unter der Linden is under renovation, and where else but a warehouse area can you move a library and its collection, right? As my daughter remarked, maybe this is going to provide me a new type of subject for my photography. Here, I tried to capture the sense of the "industrial zone." Over the next few months, I will try to focus on various "parts" of the area!
Good urban landscape. And interesting to see where you've been. I wonder what this would have looked like in black and white, with maybe high contrast.
Welcome back, Junko. I find industrial landascapes interesting and I agree with @taffy that maybe B&W suits them better. You'll discover so many interesting things to photograph in Berlin, so get ready to explore...
And, thanks to both of you and to @pflaume for the warm welcome back! I think I uploaded 6 or 7 today, and good thing, as I'm now in Korea!
