Lange Nacht der Museen by jyokota

Lange Nacht der Museen

Tonight was the Long Night of Museums. Indeed, the special buses ran until 5am! All the museums in the city were open, there was live music, food, and general festivities everywhere! I wish they'd do this every month . . .

This was taken at the Museum of Musical Instruments, on display in a way in which we rarely get to see the inside of pianos.

I finally made a friend! She's from Norway and also here for three months, and knows not a soul, but unfortunately she lives rather far from me. But we had a fun evening-night running around to museums.
That would be a night worth staying up all night...and even then I don't think that would be enough time! Cool angle.

Fantastic shot! Oh, to know how it all works, I'd love to know!

So interesting -- I kept looking at it before reading your explanation to see if I could have figured out what it represented. Great angle and good overall composition.

Love this sculptural shot of the inner workings of a piano. I am enjoying traveling the world and seeing it through your lens and reading your commentaries.

Wonderful shot, Junko. We often forget what a work of art a musical instrument is.
