Night Ride around Berlin

My get-pushed challenge this week from @vankrey is to capture an image that represents my stay in Berlin, focusing on the emotional side. Although the first two months were cold, snowy, wet, and miserable weather, this last month has been great for bike riding. I have especially come to enjoy the night rides -- I love the serenity brought about the darkness, the cool wind on my face, the way familiar places have a night-time look about them. Here, my bike in front of the Dom.

I love the exposure and the way the light illuminates the area by the arch. It looks great large. And the way your bike sort of melts into the scene as if it belongs there.

@busylady -- Isn't it interesting that as we look back to our own Year One and the first time thinking about photography that we do our best, yet years later we realize we could do even better now! Yes my bicycle and the Cathedral are important parts of my memory of life in Berlin/
