From June 16, I will accompany @vankrey and 19 high school students on a two week trip to Japan for the fifth time. He's convinced me to leave my computer at home -- and this will be the first time in about 20 years that I will be separated from my computer. I'm having some anxiety about this, as I've been known to travel with two in years past, in case one broke down. What this means for my 365 project is that I'm madly posting the backlog of photos I've taken but haven't even had time to download, much less upload. I'm seeing that in the past week, I've been quickly grabbing random shots knowing that I "should" take a photo each day, but not taking time to really think it through. I'm not happy with the lack of quality, but I'm still committed to staying the course for the project. I apologize for not having enjoyed viewing or commenting on others' photos in my madness to catch up!
The abacus belonged to my mother, and she used her abacus to check her calculator for accuracy. The clicking of the abacus beads is a familiar sound from my childhood . . .
Don't worry about the project, Junko. Just post when you have time and opportunity to do it. we'll follow you in all your wanderings...it's always interesting to see and read your journal.
BTW why can't you take your laptop with you?
