Chicago Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade by jyokota

Chicago Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade

The dragon suddenly swerved toward me so I flinched -- and lost the crispness of focus but I like the way you can tell the dragon is swinging its head around.

Great photowalk with @Taffy and @danielwsc and @anwan, despite the cold.

Check out their photos showing the different perspectives from which we shot:

the rest of the image seems pretty crisp to me and I agree; the movement is captured in the head

Love the movement, it brings the image to life!

You are right, your dragon is the same as mine! I love this shot, it really looks like the dragon is coming straight for you!

Beautiful picture. Looks very cold.

I like the movement. I think it makes the photo more interesting than if it was static. Dragons are meant to dance.

Ha ha ha! I actually like the blur and the head tilt too, as it really puts us IN the moment with you.

Oh how fun. Great capture.

@jyokota Of course! I'll add this one to mine. It's nice having several to capture the event.
