Leaving NYC after the snowstorm, heading to Brazil. Late upload because I have had really intermittent and SLOW (did I say S-L-O-W) internet so I haven't been uploading since I left NYC.
This was the only photo I took this day . . . I had gone downstairs to the hotel lobby to check and see if I could get a box to send my winter clothes back to Chicago before departing for Brazil. They gave me an enormous box, I dragged it out the door and a very nice person helped me carry it to the post office, where another very nice person showed me how to cut it down to fit the contents, and yet another very nice person gave me some tape, and the entire experience made me smile at the wonderful immigrant community of Canal Street.
A great way to mark the 'adventure' of getting stuff mailed back to your house! And I like the combination of the graffiti, the walker, the little shops, and the miserable weather.
