Memorable Bez Pavlova by jyokota

Memorable Bez Pavlova

It was a rather grueling 5 hour train ride to/from Torun, in a very crowded train with luggage everywhere. We were packed in an 8-passenger cabin and yes, I had a "middle" seat. So stuffy and no circulating air -- but at each stop, someone would stand up and open the window for fresh air, and as soon as the train pulled away that window would be closed. But at the end of the train ride, I was treated to what was promised would be a very special dessert, and she was right. A lovely day with a Polish illustrator whose work I admire very much.
yum! of course Pavlova was invented here in NZ after the Russian Ballerina Anna Pavlova who visited in 1920!!

@brigette - I know -- and I love it down there! Here in Poland, they call it "Tort Bezowy" but this appeared to be a mixture of the two.

Looks delicious... I find food very difficult to photograph, so this is a very appealing dessert shot!
