Jeju Beach

Seaweed lines show where the waves deposited the seaweed as the tide pulled out. A wind-swept, volcanic rock filled island, for hundreds of years this island was considered a place of exile for political prisoners. Historically a matriarchal society where women dove for abalone and other seafood without any special gear, according to Wikipedia, 21% of the women on the island dove for 60% of the fishing revenue as recently as the 1960s.
Fantastic picture and perspective. Interesting history.

I wouldn't mind a little quiet "exile" near this blue water! Interesting history and a very pretty shot.
