At last, perfect conditions! Kevin McQuade, the concierge at the Marriott Doubletree Historic District, said this was his favorite alley, and you could get a great shot of the church from here. But I went there twice, and each time, the conditions weren't right for photography -- cars parked and people standing around and talking, gray and rainy weather that washed out the view of the steeple, and then, on the third visit, a person was standing at the end of the alley and posed in a PERFECT way to add the right human touch for this photo. I almost ran down the alley to thank this person when she didn't move the entire time I shot this alley from different angles. So happy I went back to this alley over and over during my three days in Charleston!
Wow wow wow!!!!! I LOVE this one! So worth the extra effort. It's framed perfectly, with great lead-in with the cobblestones and walls. It's really really fantastic.
