Kochi Castle Golden Hour by jyokota

Kochi Castle Golden Hour

Kochi Castle was built initially between 1601-1611, destroyed by fire and rebuilt around 1750. This is the original structure, viewed from our ryokan (Japanese inn) window during the golden hour.

My maternal grandmother's family is from Kochi, and I have heard relatives talk of Kochi throughout my life. A glimpse at the city's important historical spots was an important part of our family heritage trip.

That iconic roofline! We stayed in a ryokan and had a wonderful time - slept on the floor, ate sitting on the floor and food was brought in endlessly!

You capture the architectural components just perfectly and have them framed by nature. Really effective.
