Happy birthday Junko! Looks like it was a wonderful day of photography and celebration! Good to see you back in Chicago - are you there for long? Lovely fisheye image! Fav!
@agedrunner@julzmaioro@mona65@dide@jamibann@pamknowler@pixiemac@cathieg -- thank you all for your comments and your happy birthday wishes! I'm not sure how you all knew since I didn't post anything about it but it was a very nice birthday. On the actual day, I hosted a big event at my center with about 110 people present so it was crazy, hectic, but culminated with 25 hosts and speakers at my house having dinner. But the next day was family day. @Taffy and I went to do some photography in the morning, and my family prepared a pseudo-Japanese "Kanreki" celebration, complete with a red cushion to sit on, a red vest-of-sorts, and a red winter hat -- all to symbolize the birth to a new phase of life. My family solicited greetings from around the world and made a book for me. Very touching, and certainly not deserved, but people are generous and kind. AND . . . stay tuned, new lenses (100-400, recommended by @888rachel ) = new photography opportunities coming up! @pamknowler -- I always thank you and @pixiemac whenever I am playing with my fisheye lens!
Sounds like a fascinating birthday, glad you had a lovely time and celebrated well! This is an interesting building, I have never seen an interior of a Bahai'i temple before.
love this one too. Such a great way to show the spectacular building. Your birthday sounds exceedingly full and busy - hope all went well and was enjoyable.
happy birthday also from me!
