Oldest Bar in New Orleans

. . . and a cool street sign, and a carriage-pulling not-a-horse.

(Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop is the name of the bar.)

I have been to New Orleans perhaps as many as 25 times over the years but always for work, seldom having time to "tour" the city. This time, I came a half day early so I took a Photo Walking Tour with http://www.americanphotosafari.com and our guide, Natasha, showed us some interesting sites and good angles for photography -- you'll see some in the next few days' posts!
Awesome.

Love the perspective and the juxtaposition of the modern fire hydrant and the mule pulling the carriage. Fav.

Never been here, just read about it in books. What a characterful place and I love the donkey! At least, I think it is a donkey......

I like this composition a lot. Cool idea to do the photo walk. I've never done that and it is a picturesque place.

Love this. A walking tour of one of the country's most unique cities sounds like a great opportunity - followed by a few binettes! ;)
