Lily Buds

"Never lose an opportunity for seeing anything beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting - a wayside sacrament." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) I found these day lily buds in the landscaped areas around a parking lot for a local coffee shop.

I love the detail and sharpness in the buds and the vertical lines that I see... I also like the desaturated background... it really accentuates the subject.
