“Mathematics expresses values that reflect the cosmos, including orderliness, balance, harmony, logic, and abstract beauty.” (Deepak Chopra) For the majority of my career in education I was a high school math teacher. It was a subject in which I excelled in school. I enjoyed teaching algebra and precalculus as well as more practical mathematics like budgeting and the finances of buying a car.
Oh my! Basic math and I got along fine. It was all those complex formulas that were lost on me. Great portrait, Kate! You remind me of Charles Epps in Numbers. I miss that show. He had such a passion for math!
Great lighting and comp - one of my dearest friends and collage room mate was a math teacher before her retirement. It was, unfortunately, not my best subject.
@dutchothotmailcom General Math was taken out of many high school curriculums. Before my retirement there even was a push to have middle-school children (grades 6-8) take algebra.
