bumblebee

this was a very unusual looking bumblebee, I don't know if it is just old and bald but it doesn't seem to match pictures of the four species that live in New Zealand. It took a nana nap shortly after I took this , for about 5 minutes, I even touched it to see if it was still alive, then it flew off.
