Relaxation

When you head out for a morning of street photography, you never really know what you're going to find. Walking along the Providence River, I stumbled upon this fantastic scene. The bike was photo worthy by itself. It's an old style girl's bike, complete with a bell and a basket in front. All that's missing are streamers from the handlebars. What made the scene for me, though, was the gentleman sitting on the bench across from the bike, reading a book in the morning sun. The contrast between the two main subjects simply begged for the photo to be taken.

Post processing started in Topaz Adjust. I applied a detail light filter, and then adjusted the lighting, contrast, detail, strength, and saturation sliders to bring out the rich contrasts in the overall scene. In PSE, I added a slight levels adjustment followed by a brightness and contrast adjustment.
A bike, a bike, my kingdom for a bike! I don't ride any more (me poor ole legs are past it (sigh!) but the sight of a lone velocipede chained to railings always grabs me!
