Blackstone Boulevard on the East Side of Providence is a popular in-city location for walkers, runners, and bikers. The Boulevard stretches 1.6 miles from Irving Avenue in the south to East Avenue in the north, with a wide grassy middle strip creating a relatively flat well-shaded 5K out-and-back exercise path. Several trees were removed for a variety of reasons over the past couple of years, but their stumps have since been put to good use. As you can see in today's photo, chair backs have been added, turning the remains of the trees into creative - and well placed - benches for anyone in need of a break. The Boulevard is maintained by the Blackstone Parks Conservancy.
Post processing started with a warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted the adaptive exposure, contrast, strength, and detail boost sliders. A slight levels adjustment was made in PSE followed by a warming photo filter.
