On Eagle's Wings

I'm scheduled for a two-day off-site meeting that will run late into the evening both today and tomorrow. The location in today's photo - the World War I memorial in North Providence - is one of my "safety shot" sites since it's only a couple of minutes from my house. The memorial was erected in 1919 in Greystone Village. At the time, the village was a working class mill community, and the grit from that era certainly comes through in the rust on the eagle bust, and in the texture of the wall behind it. The mill that dominated the community is now a condominium, but the row houses that were home to the mill workers still exist.

Post processing started with a detail medium filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and brightness. A levels adjustment and a hue/saturation adjustment were added in PSE.
