Potterville Antiques

I've been looking for some antique farm equipment in various stages of decay, and I was tipped off to a very interesting collection on Old Plainfield Pike in the tiny North Scituate village of Potterville. Sure enough, there's a local resident that has an amazing array of antiques on display. His home is also the Potterville Museum, and from what I've read he will willingly give tours of his antique collection on most days. I'm going to have to take him up on that at some point, since the collection that's visible just from the road looks fascinating. My attention was immediately drawn to these two pedal-powered children's toys on the lawn. Rust on the bumpers tells you that the toys date back to a time when real metal - not plastic - was used to make our toys. I doubt a plastic version would have survived to this point.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, boost black, boost white, and contrast. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2013/i-nW6NDvF/0/XL/2013%2010%2014_0006%20copy-XL.jpg
