He wasn't moving very fast, but he was definitely "in the zone." I must've taken a dozen photos of this runner on his series of loops through India Point Park and he didn't look up once. In a couple of photos, I was kneeling on the path right next to him, so he was well aware of me. I hope! Of all the photos I took, though, I liked this one because of the graffiti scrawl on the sign and the concentration on the runner.
Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
I wrote on this photo a few days ago and now it's gone! I wonder what cybergremlin stole it. IN any case, I think I said something about how his body language conveyed well the idea of "being in the zone" but also that his being in the background of your image feels like you were also "in the zone" for your work, and the runner happened along. (although I'll bet you waited to get him at the right place.)
