Wednesdays are a real challenge for the Photo a Day project. I have meetings that run from 7:30 through noon, and another set that runs from 12:30 through 4:00. That leaves me all of 30 minutes to wolf down some lunch and get out for a photo. Typically, I hit Haines Point because there's a lot in that area that can be turned into a photo in a pinch. Today's a good example. I liked this lone sailboat moored offshore, coupled with the pilings and their reflections in the cove. When this flock of Canada Geese honked their way through, the deal was sealed.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
