Riverside

East Providence, Rhode Island
It's been a while since I've added to my Neighborhoods of Rhode Island collection, so today I decided to grab a photo of Riverside. This neighborhood is one of the villages in East Providence and comprises much of the southern end of the city. From the end of the Civil War to the early 1920s, Riverside was a resort area. Luxury hotels and amusement parks marked the village boundaries with both Crescent Park and Vanity Fair leaving a lasting mark on the region. The East Bay Bikepath bisects the neighborhood, following the grade of what was once a major commuter rail line. The neighborhood is starting to see a resurgence with an increase in new home construction.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
