Saint Patrick's Day Party

Yes, I know it's a week early. It seems there's an agreement between Providence and Newport, however, that allows Newport to pick the date of their Saint Patrick's Day Parade. They picked next weekend, so Providence held it's 5K Road Race and Parade today. I went there to photograph both events. By noon, it had reached 58°F (14°C) and there was no wind. It was a bit warm for the runners, but a perfect day for us spectators.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Looks like a lot of fun. When we were in Boston in September, we noticed so many references to Irish-Americans that I'm sure St. Patrick's Day is a big deal in New England.
@cejaanderson The standard joke is that there are more Irish in Boston than there are in Ireland. Instead of being a joke, I think it's a very accurate assessment.
