Rerun van Pelt

Anytime I see a mother-son tandem like this on a bike, I immediately think of the Peanuts character Rerun. Rerun was the youngest brother of Lucy and Linus van Pelt, first mentioned on May 23, 1972. It was Linus' glee over Lucy's dismay that she now had a new baby brother that prompted Linus to dub the baby "Rerun." In true Lucy fashion, she replied, "Rerun van Pelt. Good grief." Through several story arcs, Rerun was typically seen as a passenger on the back of his mother's bicycle, just as you see this little tyke in today's photo. Although he became a main character in the final years of the strip, it's his bicycle passenger days that I most remember.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
