Relaxing

I normally work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays, and given the nice weather I decided to relax a bit over lunch. The book I'm reading is historical fiction. It's "1862" by Robert Conroy and assumes that the British enter the American Civil War on the side of the Confederacy. It's extremely well written, as are Conroy's other historical fiction novels. The thought struck me that this would also make an interesting Photo a Day shot since I'm rarely on the front side of the camera. As a bit of an aside, I don't know who invented these folding camp chairs, but in my view that person is deserving of a Nobel Prize, right alongside the person that invented those Christmas gift bags.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, and boost black. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2014/i-s4WMC5g/0/XL/2014%2006%2017_0064%20copy-XL.jpg
Great to see you on the other side of the camera Ron! I think us photographer's find it strange to not be on the controlling side of the camera! You seem quite relaxed and looks like a beautiful day there for reading and a general relax! The book sounds like it'll surely keep you captivated for hours! I agree with the Nobel Prize's as well, simple, yet amazing inventions!
Also, thanks for mentioning my project on Ella's thread! I really appreciate the wrap you gave me, many thanks! (:
