Antique Fire Truck

In an astonishing validation of causality and the fluidity of space-time, in just two days I managed to demonstrate that showing up for an event on the actual day of the event is far more productive than at any other time of the year. Today I revisited Johnston Memorial Park hoping to photograph the Antique Fire Apparatus display, and this time they were actually there! It was an interesting display and I wandered around the park several times for good photo ops. This particular truck was in dire need of some paint and TLC, which is what attracted me to the display in the first place. Waiting for folks to wander over to check it out so I had some life in the scene did take a while since it was in an out-of-the-way section of the park, but it was worth the wait.
Post processing started with a neutral greyscale filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, details, protect highlights, and boost black. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Glad you were able to make it today haha! A wonderful capture and that is quite the interesting truck! Seems like there was so much to see, well worth the wait I would assume? (:
@lilminimonka Oh, it was definitely worth the wait! There's an antique car show coming in July that I'm hoping to photograph as well. Fortunately, it's on both Saturday and Sunday, so this time all I have to do is get the right weekend straight! lol
