Beneath the Bridge

East Providence, Rhode Island
I went out to lunch with a friend today, so had to settle for a safety shot photo on my way home from work. I stopped at Bold Point but there was no activity anywhere. It's surprising since it was a beautiful day out. I settled for this shot of the mostly empty slips in front of the Washington Bridge. The top section of the bridge - which does look like a construction zone, now - is moving along at a bit of a snails pace. That section will be part of the East Bay Bike Path, connecting East Providence to Providence. Work was supposed to complete later this year, but it's moving slow enough that they've targeted the end of 2015 for completion now. I'm looking forward to the completion just for the photos I'll be able to get from the top of the bridge.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Sounds like a lovely day and what a surprise no-one was out and about today! Great shot nonetheless! So, did your lunch satisfy those cravings I've been giving you with those food photos? (:
@lilminimonka I'm your typical hobbit - 6 meals a day - so I don't think anything will ever satisfy all those food cravings! It doesn't help that a friend of mine just opened a cafe, and now my Facebook newsfeed is filled with her menu items...
