Pondering Significance

Years ago, I worked with someone that had a few signature phrases. For instance, at lunch he would go downcity to "cruise the earth." While daydreaming, he would say he was "pondering significance." At Christmas, he gave his boss a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figurines, and he once had an interesting cubical war with another coworker involving little green army men and very large rubber spiders. I should mention that programmers tend to have very warped senses of humor. In any case, while driving through Lincoln Woods today, I spotted this guy just relaxing along the dam and staring off into nothing. It immediately brought "pondering significance" to mind, and it just begged for a photo. You see the results.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, details, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
