Windshield Replacement

The definition of a boat is "a hole in the water into which you throw money." Given that definition, it's easy to conclude that the land version of the money hole is a car. Rhode Island simplifies the means by which we toss money into a car by providing conveniently placed potholes on the roads that will randomly force a tire replacement, and by leaving enough debris on the roads to randomly crack a windshield. This time around, my donation was in the latter format. While driving to the Dragon Boat Festival the other day, I noticed an interestingly shaped four-inch long crack spread down the left side of my windshield. Today, Affordable Glass came to my house to replace the windshield. The entire process only took about a half-hour, and cost-wise they do live up to their name. Hopefully, though, this is my last donation into the money hole for a while.
Post processing started with a neutral filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
That car looks so clean, you wouldn't want to drive it at all! A fantastic shot Ron, lets hope you don't have to pay any more into that money hole, fingers crossed!
