Purple Meadow by kareenking

Purple Meadow

This is a scene on a rural highway near my home. I've taken a number of shots of it, but this one encompasses the most depth. I wish the highway sign weren't there, but it is what it is. The purple field is actually covered with a weed called Henbit, an early winter annual which can be a pest in wheat fields as well as lawns and wasteland. It's also known as a Springtime Salad Green, supposedly edible! But I think it's beautiful.
Thats a great rural scene....the highway leading over the hill is nicely composed....love the field of purple.....do you know what it is?
