I like the balance between the fence posts and hay bales.

It's interesting that they are different kinds of birds. I hear they don't often flock together.

Love your timing! Fav!

They both look like Mockingbirds to me. Am I mistaken? The one on the right could be a Western Kingbird.

@mbemis Mannie, thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure of the one on the right, but I guess I thought I was hearing the sounds of a Killdeer and thought they might be from the one on the left. Hmmm. . .

No, that's not a Kildeer. They don't have the wing bars. I'm pretty sure those bars are saying Mockingbird. Maybe the Mockingbird was mimicking a Kildeer! Now that I look at it a little better, I think the one on the right is a Say's Phoebe with its peach-colored breast. It would make sense for a Mockingbird and a Phoebe to be picking off flying insects over the field. At any rate, it's a great shot.

@mbemis I think the one on the right does look like a mockingbird. What about plovers? Do they have wing bars and still sound like a killdeer?

Cool shot @kareenking . It definitely reminds me of this one --- http://365project.org/adambralston/365/2014-06-19

@adambralston Yep, I'm in agreement that the one on the right is a mocker. Silhouette is wrong for a Say's. I've got to stick with mocker for both birds in fact. Those wing bars nail it. Maybe there was a Kildeer on the ground that went unseen. Thanks for the ID opportunity, Kareen, and the discussion, Adam.
