Just returned from a trip to Detroit to hear Naomi Feil, author of "The Validation Breaktthrough," speak at StoryPoint's 1st Annual Memory Matters Symposium. Not only is she beautiful at 83 1/2 years of age, but she is still impacting her audiences with her brilliant insights in communicating with individuals with dementia. If you've never heard of her, PLEASE listen in to one of the most touching moments ever recorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrZXz10FcVM
Thank you for this posting and link. I'll certainly listen to it as my mother has memory loss. I've also recently read "Still Alice," and I have high interest in the subject this year. I love her smile--her genuineness shines through--a sign of a wonderful portrait, Kareen. @mbemis
