History of Popcorn in our community

Above is a church built around 1900. They ran out of money so services never took place there. In the 1940's a man bought the church and built the wood building in the top right corner.

The wood building was a corn crib where whole ears of corn were kept. The corn would be transferred to the former church where the kernels were taken off the cob and bagged.

Then big trucks would come get the bagged corn, oil and salt to deliver to movie theaters. Thus they had popcorn for the movies.

The people below are brother and sister. The brother now owns these buildings and he is remodeling the wood building.
What an interesting story and a lovely collage to go with it :)

Very cool collage with interesting history.
Great PoV on the church shot. I like how you have set up the three pics with the tall church first.

Your collage helps tell the story! Love the rich colors! The man I talked with about the building was an older gentleman. So good to see another photographer's perspective! Mine looks dull compared to yours!
