@farmreporter It is just a guess - her wings still look relatively clean and crisp - not too beat up.There are no ragged edges to them.
I know that with bees the young worker bee starts out in the hive as a cell builder, then becomes a gatherer in the field until her body and wings gets too beat up to do the job. Those wings are really frayed and it is very noticeable.
She is usually really cranky about then, and becomes a crusty old guard bee for the hive until she dies - the one that hangs around the entrance to keep out intruders since she can no longer do her duty hauling nectar.
I have seen some pictures of dragonflies on 365 where the wings are ragged - yours are clean - so it is just a guess.
