On Thursday I got to go to the Chicago campus of Northwestern University for a meeting. My first staff nurse position was at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, so this is my old stomping grounds. One of my favorite buildings in the neighborhood is this one, which is now called Lake Shore Place and houses offices and luxury apartments. It was built in 1926 and restored in the late '80s. This is the west side of the building, and the east side faces Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. I didn't get a very good picture because it was so windy but you can kind of see the very top of the building, which is bright blue.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
October 2014- finally reached 365 photographs and it...
The address of the building was originally 666 North Lake Shore Drive. They changed it to 680 North Lake Shore Drive as part of the late 1980s restoration. It was originally the American Furniture Mart, right on the drive.
Great point of view! I've really enjoyed visiting Chicago. I was there a few years back with some girlfriends. We had so much fun at the Navy Pier, we had great food, and a river tour
Raspberry is addicted to butter and often hops in the refrigerator to help herself!!
Some are perhaps a little smaller.
