Shadows Alone by kevin365

Shadows Alone

Mary owned the flower shop
Gone twenty years or so
She sits inside the shadow house, alone
And wonders where the flowers grow

She loves carnations for their colors
She loves the roses for their glow
She loves the greens for everlasting
Oh, how she hates to see them go

Perhaps until another day
Perhaps it never comes to pass, and so
Perhaps it's more the come what may
Perhaps it just the moment, then it goes

Mary owned the flower shop
Been twenty years or so, and so it goes
And now she sits alone inside
And wonders if the shadow only grows
Jae
Sad. Poor Mary.

Dark and deep . . .

a photo as sadly shadowy as the poem... As with all you write, very touching with deep feeling...
