Warm Summer Night by kevin365

Warm Summer Night

Downtown Summer
Pray the rain will hold
Sweaty palms and sunscreen smell
Fair food, music, touching hands
Let the night unfold

Meeting by the bandstand
There among the crowd
Popcorn,lip gloss, cotton candy
I think she likes me
Want to scream out loud

There, at the crescendo
Hold her body tight
Colors cascade, sounds erupt
Watch her eyes jus sparkle
What a perfect night

Time to go, I feel it
Don't want the night to die
Barkers close and eve's repose
We hold each other tight
I don't want to say goodbye
Jae
