I just love the way Corky has her feet in this shot. The feet of a koala are made up of the second and next toe fused together, then two other clawed toes that allow for strong climbing and handy for grooming. The first toe has no claw and instead of being big is smaller but splays out more like a thumb. Their feet almost look more like strange hands.
But she has them so relaxed in this shot, just loosely folding towards each other like someone steepling their hands :)
Corky has featured here a lot this month, I'm so glad she is hanging around a long time, I still might just get a shot of that joey peeking out!
