Still think that branch would cut into me after 5 minutes... Koalas actually have a large pad of cartilage across their lower back area (same as a wombat does). This allows them to be far more comfortable in the tree branches than we would be.
Fascinating piece of information about these Koalas AND wombats! This is a dear image in this position. We, who only get a chance to see them in a zoo setting, would go nuts to capture such an image!
