I love the tip of that leaf sticking out his mouth :) Koalas play statues sometimes - I actually got off the quad bike to get the angle for this shot which put Bullet on guard and he simply froze as though holding still would render him invisible.
Many of the regular koalas take no notice of me on the bike. My theory is that when I'm on the bike I seem rather like any of the cars that move along the roads and mean nothing to them. If I stop the bike, turn the motor off and then start doing obvious things they take notice, but not really if I am moving along on the bike. If I get off the bike and they hear footsteps it's high alert.

Great koala headshot :-) OK. Silly question: The fur, is it soft or more "steel wool" like. I've always just assumed it would be soft but when I look at this I wonder....
@helstor not a silly question at all :) the fur is stupefyingly soft, and unbelievably thick on the body. It has superb water repelling and insulating abilities too.
Sadly this is why they were killed nearly to extinction in the early 1900's - millions and millions killed every year for the fur trade because it was realised how incredible their pelts are.
