Bullet barely cracked an eye open to look at me for a second he was so soundly asleep with a nice solid upright to hold onto.
Thank you for the awesome questions and comments on my photos.
@fbailey that's an interesting question as I think my photos give a slightly false impression that I am right beside them. In this photo Bullet is reasonably close, probably only about 5 - 6 metres above the ground. Often when I'm photographing them they are 15 - 20 metres up and may still be posted here, usually the photos I most often take when they are 20 - 30 metres up I don't post, but occasionally I do.
So they get really used to me, particularly if I am sitting on the quad bike. If I get off, the moment they hear footsteps they become very alert. Still if they are reasonably high up, many of them will just sit and look at me as they know I am going to have to start climbing to be a threat. and I know that's never going to happen lololol
Having said that, a few of them are very shy, and even if 20 metres up a tree will begin to move and try to hide behind any branch or leaf cover they can find. Some of the ones you see here most are really low stress :)
