I have to work hard to get a clear shot through sometimes, but I like the natural framing in this shot :)
thank you for the awesome comments and questions on my photos.
Caught tail end of a news item about an horrific fire that's decimated a koala population in a reserve. Thought of you and hoping you and your koalas are safe. X
@30pics4jackiesdiamond there have been 2 huge ones in this area in prime koala habitat - more than 50,000 hectares of koala forest completely burnt to the ground in wild fire and we have no idea how many koalas dead, more than 500
We are safe, fire less than 500 metres up the road this week was quickly contained. There were 100 fires in our state yesterday.
The smoke is thick everywhere even when not in direct danger.
Rain predicted for February - can't come fast enough. Thank you Jackie
To sad. On the news :
More than half of a koala population in a coastal reserve in the Australian province of New South Wales has been eradicated due to severe forest fires, local experts report Friday based on an estimate.
Please keep on saving.
Such sad news! But a sigh of relief comes over me when I see that your place is safe. Nestled in and everything handy for a good snack when you wake up. Good shot!
