Newsflash - Jordan has not had such a good late afternoon and is being sent to the Currumbin wildlife hospital in the morning.
While his room was being cleaned early this afternoon there were a few minutes when suddenly, no leaf in his favourite corner. I opened the door to his ICU room, and he sat up and peered - not really at me, but he could see through to the door to outside the building and he came fully alert!
Of course my response, as you can appreciate, was to grab my camera, and step in front of that view to capture the moment...
sorry mate, it did look good for a moment I know.
Such a worrying time , but he does look so alert at the sight of freedom ! I hope all goes well at the hospital - thinking of you both ! Must fave this almost cheeky look !
It's a lovely shot but I do hope he will be able to recover at the hospital. I wonder sometimes what animals think when we sweep in, rescue them, help cure them, and then re-release them. I wonder how they process that occurrence once they are back in the trees again?
I think it's quite promising that he recognized both you and the world beyond the door- hopefully he will continue to improve at the hospital. Sometimes it seems things have to get a little worse before they get better. Good shot!
