Views great on black.
The grey fantails are the easiest and hardest to practice on. Easier because they will come fairly close rather than just take right off. Harder because they never sit still, so they come close, but flit from here to there constantly.
The background is how the camera focused. To me it looks like I created a background with photoshop, but I seemed to have focused in right on the bird.
I'm a very amateur photographer and have been learning on my own photographing the koalas, but these little birds are a whole new thing for me.
@hermann@cruiser@happysnaps@beryl@seattlite@ribbet9@merrelyn why thank you all so much!
Sally they are so cheeky and I tell myself stories that it's the same one that flies close around me every day, but in truth there are a lot of them out there and being cheeky is their nature, so it's probably rarely the same one, they just all look alike ;)
Chris I'm in a hurry too - it takes 30 - 45 minutes each day to do my koala spotting, longer sometimes. It's hard enough to find that time some days, so adding the time to just sit very still for the birds is difficult.
Thanks for all the encouragement!
