I know snakes have to rub to get that skin off when shedding, but I would have loved to watch this one tie those knots to get it off! The good news is that it's a healthy snake that sheds the skin intact like this. After I took this photo a little breeze came up and the head started bobbing about which was quite funny in a macabre kind of way.
Not sure what kind of snake, but I suspect it's a carpet python I saw around the house recently, about 2 metres long

It is rather twisted but I gather the snake is long gone!

I'm a bit of a scaredy when it comes to snakes, so I'd be worried that I have a resident snake so close to home :)
