The light inside Rome's St. Peter's Basilica was magical when we were there last month. Like yesterday's shot, this is best on black. Thank you for all your favs and comments on my Aventine Keyhole image. It was pretty surreal to look through such a tiny opening and see such an incredible view.
Very powerful image! The only thing is - when viewed on black, I would probably cut of just a mm on the bottom - there is a thing white line I wish it wouldn't be there to really draw attention to the three beams of light. Very beautiful image. You should definitely print a book/album for yourself with your Italy photos!
Oh, now I looked at it again, and realized it is actually not at the very bottom (it only seems like it on black, as the table itself is also black). I will definitely look at your book, thank you for the link!
btw... does that book publishing site let you choose the aspect ratio for your images? I've only ever used shutterfly and i'm quite fed up with the limited ability to choose aspect ratios... i keep meaning to try blurb thru lightroom, but then get caught up in LR challenges, throw in the towel and go back to shutterfly
Amazing light rays.... especially with the cross in the front and the splendid architectural space all around. So imposing and beautiful... what a gift, to be in that building. :)
OK... so now I have taken a look at your book. What a great adventure! You did a super job putting this together and it looks like a terrific trip. If you had posted the Vatican Spiral Stairs on 365, I would have faved it 15 times (if I could). It was a wonderful shot.
@northy My publisher has many different layouts you can use anywhere from 1-12 photos per page with and without captions. The great thing is that you can also physically drag the edges to make the photos whatever size you want so it gives you lots of options. I often modify them. The other thing I've done is make collages in PicMonkey, save it as an image and then used it like a photo in my book for a different look.
@rosiekerr I was actually considering the stairs for tomorrow's shot. I wasn't super happy with it though because I cut it off a bit. I so wish I had a ladder and a wider lens. The space was amazing but I just couldn't fit it all in the frame.
So well organized, have you used this publisher before?
Thanks for the enthusiastic fav on my rusty pole plate the other day. :)
