Sat down with some coffee this afternoon and read a letter from one of my pen pals.
She's from Edinburgh which I have always pronounced incorrectly. Apparently it's not pronounced "Eeed In Burg". I would love to visit Scotland one day!
Lovely pic but your note made me chuckle. Ron's family spent all Christmas asking me about proper British pronunciations!! Scotland is well worth a visit :)
@anron i love British words and pronunciations! in fact you would be impressed with my British impersonations/fake accent. I think i sound just like the Queen ;)
@sabresun well i think it would just be easier if everyone else just started saying Eeed-In-Burg. But i'll keep practicing. I'm going to sleep soon, so i will just chant it softly to myself as I drift off to sleep.
nothing like a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning, well a cup of tea beats it but we'll go with coffee. :)
My husband and I plan to move to just outside of Edinburgh once all 3 kids have moved out. We only have 10 years to go... not that I'm counting down or anything. :)
How nice to receive an actual letter. I just joined up with something called postcrossings which involves sending and receiving post cards. Scotland is on my to visit list as I am Scottish on my Dad's side
I sooooo wanna go there one day too!!!!! U and I r so much alike, it's krazy! If we lived in the same town I think we would be good friend :D
Lovely focus here. I miss real mail. I think that is another thing I love about Christmas....cards in the mail!!!!
