Midnight Run by laurentye

Midnight Run

Urgh! Today i was busy before work and forgot to take a picture. I asked my husband to bring my camera with him when he picked me up from work at 2315 so that I would get my shot for the day before midnight, but he forgot. Therefor, I quickly took this photo after I got home, while I was out for a midnight jog around my neighbourhood. taken with my p&s on automatic with no flash...

I took this from the middle of a quiet empty street at the beginning of my run. I had such a good run. I absolutely love running super late at night. It's so peaceful and quiet, the air is so cool, and I find it so much easier to run in the dark.

*note: I saw in my Exif Info that my time on my p&s is wrong (didn't adjust with daylight savings in spring, I guess...) taken at 2350-ish, not 2250-ish
you must live in a nice neighbourhood or have a big dog, thats a sure way to get killed, midnight running indeed...nice shot though, you must have a steady hand.

Nice shot - I like the focus and bokeh :) I'm glad you live somewhere safe enough for night time runs too.

Love the light bokehs! I don't think I would like running at night.. I hate the dark.

Awesome shot, I love this. I can totally relate to that panicky feeling you get towards the end of the day if you hadn't taken your shot yet.

I've never tried running at night, but I love the idea of it. I don't trust that cars will be able to see me well enough in the dark and windy roads around my house. Do you wear any reflective gear or anything else illuminating? Or do you prefer the stealthy ninja approach?

Will it fit in the minimalist theme timeframe? Simple and awesome.
